Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has joyfully announced his achievement as he is currently the highest-grossing actor in Nollywood for the year 2023.

His performances in a number of highly successful films this year, including the box office hit A Tribe Called Judah directed by Funke Akindele and other hits including The Kujus Again, Big Love, Honey Money, Something including Gold, and The Bloom Boy, are what led to this accomplishment.

Egbuson celebrated this milestone by attributing his achievement to divine grace, hard effort, and fan love.

He conveyed his appreciation for the chance to succeed in his job and for having the fortitude to take advantage of it despite difficulties.

Timini took to social media to share his excitement and gratitude, stating:

“Hard work, your support and the grace of God brought me here. Feeling super grateful for the amazing life I’ve been given.

“All thanks to Baba God for all the chances to shine and the strength to grab them! Through the tough spots, I’ve had the courage to keep moving forward.

Recall that, Timini Egbuson has declared that he will be taking a year off next year.

In a recent podcast interview, he revealed this to content producer Kamsi Nnamani.

He claimed that he has barely gotten six hours of sleep a day due to shifting from set to set over the years.

The thespian noted that it was high time he took a break.

Egbuson said,

“I only rest when I go out at night. I only sleep five hours to six hours a day. And then keep the work going. But next year I’m going on a sabbatical. I have been acting for the past fourteen years consistently. There has never been a downtime or a time when I’m just chilling. And I did not say that with pride. I say that with all humility. It has just been God.”

He claimed he accidentally became an actor by accompanying his sister, the performer Dakore Egbuson-Akande, to film locations.

He said that after going to the sets to watch over her at first, he developed a deep love for acting.
