Nigerian creator BayuzTv surprised 19-year-old Samuel Adeniyi, known as Samuel the Tiler, and his single mother with a modern apartment after his video scavenging waste for tools drew over 8 million naira in donations, food, clothes, tools, and a full scholarship.

According to reports, street harassers had demanded shares from the mom, so BayuzTv relocated them, prepaid a year’s rent, froze the cash in a bank for a future business, and secured monthly deposits from an anonymous donor for school and living costs.

Six days ago, Samuel went viral after a video showed him collecting plastic waste and cartons to raise money for basic tiling tools. Touched by his determination, Nigerians rallied around him after his story was shared by content creator BayuzTv. He received tiling equipment, a new phone, cash support, and eventually over N8 million in donations alongside an education scholarship from secondary school through university.

BayuzTv also supported his family directly, gifting his mother N1 million in cash and food supplies after she revealed her struggle to restart her palm oil business.

Samuel, who started tiling at age 10 after dropping out, pledged to make his helpers proud amid the emotional handover.
