Videos circulating online show fashion designer Seyi Vodi being stopped by bouncers at the traditional wedding ceremony of Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and his bride, Davita Lamai.

The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday as guests arrived for the celebrity-filled ceremony, which attracted several entertainers and other prominent personalities.

In the footage, Vodi, who is known for his bespoke outfits and celebrity clientele, is seen attempting to enter the venue before security personnel stop him and ask him to present an access tag.

A post shared by X user AsakyGRN on Saturday described the incident as an embarrassing moment, claiming that Vodi was denied entry because he did not have an access tag.

It remains unclear why he was stopped or whether he was eventually permitted to enter the venue. Neither Vodi nor representatives of Zlatan have publicly commented on the incident.

The wedding featured elaborate traditional outfits worn by the couple.

Zlatan wore a cream robe beneath a textured ivory coat decorated with hand-stitched red beads around the shoulders and hem. He completed the outfit with coral beads, an ivory ceremonial cap and a carved wooden staff. The red details complemented his bride’s attire.

Davita wore an outfit embellished with red crystal beads arranged in lattice patterns. She accessorised it with a traditional Okuku braided crown, layered coral necklaces, a sheer crimson veil and a black horsehair fly whisk.

Vodi, whose full name is Seyi Adekunle, is a fashion entrepreneur and founder of Vodi Group, a business known for its range of ventures.
