Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has said he would remain married to his wife even if she were unfaithful, arguing that cheating should not automatically lead to the end of a relationship.

Kuti shared his view while speaking about marriage and how couples respond to infidelity.

“If my wife cheats on me, I won’t leave her because it doesn’t mean anything,” he said.

The singer also criticised the attitude of some African men towards infidelity, suggesting that cheating can occur in relationships.

“African men are forming as if cheating isn’t a normal thing in a relationship,” Kuti said.

Kuti further discussed inheritance and who would have access to his properties, saying his sister’s child is the person he considers his “real blood.”

“The only person that can have access to my properties is my sister’s child because that’s the real blood,” he said.

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users agreeing with his position while others criticised his views on marriage, infidelity and inheritance.
