[TRENDING VIDEO] Veteran Nollywood actor sparks concern after been seen lying helpless on street
Fresh concerns have emerged over the wellbeing of veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku after a disturbing video surfaced online showing him lying on a street in a visibly troubled condition.
In the viral clip making rounds on social media, the actor appears wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and red sneakers, looking disoriented and speaking to himself as bystanders gathered around him.
Some people at the scene were heard speculating about what may have led to his condition, while a woman in the video appealed for urgent help, saying, “You guys should do something. This is very important.”
Another person at the scene suggested that substance abuse could be involved.
This is not the first time Anuku has been at the centre of such public concern. In 2022, a similar video circulated online showing him in worn-out clothes wandering the streets.
At the time, the actor dismissed the footage, insisting it was taken from a movie set and accusing those behind its circulation of trying to tarnish his reputation.
Actress Shan George had also defended him then, saying he was “not insane”.
However, actress Adanma Luke challenged that claim, prompting the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to launch an inquiry into the situation.
In 2024, Anuku opened up about the impact of the earlier viral video, revealing that it “ruined” his career by costing him friendships, causing financial struggles, and affecting movie opportunities.
The AGN is yet to release any official reaction to the latest video.
