Pop sensation Justin Timberlake has been released from police custody following his arraignment on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI).

The 43-year-old musician was apprehended on Long Island and made his court appearance on Tuesday, June 18.

Timberlake, renowned for chart-toppers like “SexyBack,” entered the Sag Harbor courthouse with his hands cuffed in front of him, accompanied by his legal counsel and two others.

Sporting a black bowling shirt, light jeans, and white and baby blue Air Force 1 sneakers, Timberlake had his handcuffs removed after the court proceedings.

According to insider reports, Timberlake appeared visibly perturbed during the arraignment. Notably absent was his wife, actress Jessica Biel.

TMZ disclosed that Timberlake is charged with one count of DWI, along with additional citations for running a stop sign and failure to maintain his lane. His next court appearance is slated for July 26.

A spokesperson for the Sag Harbor Police Department verified Timberlake’s arrest on June 18 but refrained from offering further details.

Sources suggest that the incident occurred subsequent to Timberlake having dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. He was pulled over while en route to a friend’s residence, with no reported injuries.

Efforts to contact Timberlake’s representatives for comment have been fruitless.

Currently, Timberlake is on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, promoting his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was. His upcoming tour dates include performances at Chicago’s United Center on June 21 and 22, followed by shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on June 25 and 26.

Justin Timberlake recently celebrated Father’s Day by sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram to his sons, Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3½, with Biel. In the post, he expressed his deep love for his children, calling them his “2 greatest gifts” and thanking them for giving him his “biggest purpose.”

“I learn more about myself everyday just because you both chose me to be your Daddy,” Timberlake wrote. “I will always be there for you through your peaks and valleys… to lift you up and show you how high you can take this life and to pick you up when you fall. And, of course, to flood you with insufferable Dad-jokes all along the way.”

“I love you both so much,” he added.
