Veteran Nollywood Yoruba actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died after battling cancer.
The actor’s daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced his death on Sunday evening during a live session on Instagram.
His death came days after his daughter disclosed that the actor was battling stage-four cancer.
Following the disclosure of his illness, efforts had reportedly been made to secure quality medical treatment for the veteran actor.
There were also reports that the Ogun State All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Adeola Olamilekan, popularly known as Yayi, offered financial support towards his treatment.
The actor was a prominent figure in the Yoruba-language film industry and had built a career spanning several decades.
