Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Ezeonu has expressed concern over the circulation of counterfeit products in Nigeria, particularly fake medicines and baby food.
In a video shared on her social media page, the actress warned about the increasing availability of products she described as fake and potentially harmful to consumers.
Ezeonu raised concerns about the possible dangers posed by counterfeit medicines, baby food and other consumer products, particularly to children, families and unsuspecting members of the public.
She urged Nigerians to exercise greater caution when purchasing and consuming products, stressing the importance of paying close attention to the items they bring into their homes.
Her warning comes amid continuing concerns over the circulation of substandard and falsified products in Nigeria.
“I don’t understand what’s happening in this country anymore. When you go to hospitals, you see young people dying with kidney problems, liver problems, because everything is fake!”.
