The Yoruba film industry has been thrown into sadness following the death of legendary actor Asa Koko.
His colleague Kunle Afod revealed his passing on Instagram by posting a video of his most recent visit to Asa Koko’s home.
Asa Koko recounts his struggle with an unidentified illness that put him in the hospital for more than two years in the video.
He thanked the state’s governor for paying him a visit when he was in the hospital.
Asa Koko, who was known for his unique acting style and had married 10 wives, showed Afod his swollen leg and attributed his survival to God’s intervention.
The veteran actor’s health struggles were evident in the video, and his passing has come as a shock to his fans and colleagues.
Kunle Afod’s caption accompanying the video announced Asa Koko’s death and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
He wrote:

Asa koko hmmmm
It’s a WRAP.”
