Renowned Nigerian musician Davido expanded his impact in the music and arts industries by launching a new course at the International University of East Africa (IUEA) located in Kampala, Uganda.
His worldwide fan base greeted the announcement with great enthusiasm, as seen by the widespread sharing of the news on social media.
Davido received a unique prize with his name clearly written on it during a lavish ceremony conducted at the institution.
Below his name, the word ‘Hall’ was etched, symbolizing the dedication of a newly constructed hall in his honour on the university campus.
Davido expanded the university’s academic offerings beyond the hall dedication by establishing the “Faculty of Music and Arts.”
The official start of the course was marked by the singer’s ceremonial ribbon-cutting, which was attached to a board with the names of the new faculty.

Recall that Davido recently reaveled that he is aiming to take over the American music business after experiencing immense success in the African music scene.
Davido says he’s prepared to take on new tasks and show off his skills to a larger group of people.
Davido declared that working with artists from all around the world is his dream.
The singer revealed in a recent Billboard interview that he is now working on two albums for Africa and America, respectively.
He said:
“I want to drop this album by the grace of God. Hopefully, we get to hit No. 1. I just want to share great ideas and great music with other artists, influence other artists, write and produce for other people. Just getting to the dream.
