Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has revealed that the fibroids she had surgically removed in 2020 have returned.
In an emotional video posted on her Instagram page on July 17, 2024, Ini shared her journey and the latest developments regarding her health.
‘I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on 30/12/2020, but here I am. My journey with fibroids isn’t over—I recently learned they’ve returned,’ her post reads in part via her verified Instagram account
Ini recounted how the myomectomy had been successful, with her doctor removing every single fibroid, and how she had healed well over the past three years.
Unfortunately, the fibroids have returned, which has been a challenging and disheartening development for her.
However, she has come to terms with the situation and remains resilient.
Rather than undergoing another surgery, Ini Dima-Okojie plans to follow a medication regimen designed to shrink the fibroids.
In a generous gesture, she announced that she would be sponsoring medical screenings for 20 women to help them understand their health status.
Additionally, Ini reached out to other women who have faced similar health challenges, asking for advice and tips to help her navigate this difficult time.
Her announcement has been met with an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues, who have commended her bravery and generosity.
