Well-known Nigerian artist Seun Kuti disclosed some details about his marriage and monogamous beliefs, which could appear strange in a country with such traditional values as Nigeria.
Seun Kuti disclosed that he has never been monogamous and has always been a polyamorous person on the Bahd and Boujee podcast with Moet Abebe and TolaniBaj.
When the journalist questioned him about the nature of his monogamous relationship with his wife, Yetunde Kuti, he was obviously bewildered. His response was stunning.
Despite being monogamous in his marriage, Seun Kuti admitted that he still looks into “options” outside of his married house.
He stressed that he wouldn’t want to impose his tastes on his wife, saying that she is unable to meet his requirements or engage with him politically.
Seun Kuti stated in the same sentence that his wife acts as she pleases and doesn’t do anything for him unless she is truly motivated to.
The afrobeats artist also revealed, rather surprisingly given that it’s not something that’s frequently discussed in public, that he and his wife have investigated threesomes.
