VIDEO: Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage entertains guests at King Charles III coronation concert

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage Sunday night, thrilled guests at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III.

On Saturday, Charles III was crowned king of England.

The event is in honour of Charles who ascended to the throne after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II last year.

BBC announced Tiwa Savage among a line-up of international musicians to perform at the coronation concert.

The coronation concert was, however, held on Sunday night at 8 pm on the grounds of Windsor Castle as part of a three-day festivity.

Clad in a full green-coloured taffeta fabric with an extension sweeping the stage behind her, Tiwa dazzled the crowd at King Charles coronation as she performed ‘Keys To The Kingdom’, her hit song.

Other top musicians who graced the stage to entertain the guests are Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Take That, Paloma Faith, Steve Winwood, Lang Lang, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Tom Cruise, Dame Joan Collins, and Sir Tom Jones will appear via video message.

Tiwa had earlier expressed her excitement to “be representing Africa and the Commonwealth at such a historic event.”

“It’s truly an honour to be representing Africa and the Commonwealth at such a historic event. I look forward to joining the celebrations and bringing Afrobeats to Windsor Castle for the first time!” she had said.

Tiwa has established herself as one of the prominent faces in the Nigerian music landscape.

She is the first woman to win an MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act.
