Nigerian singer and internet sensation, Speed Darlington has cried out after narrowly surviving a gunshot attack just days after being released from prison.
On Instagram, the controversial artist described his terrifying experience of being shot at his car several times by unidentified shooters in what seemed to be a targeted attack.
The severity of the attack was demonstrated by Speed Darlington’s social media video, which displayed the damage to the back of his car, which was covered with bullet holes.
The musician clarified that he first did not notice the gunshots and only became aware of the gravity of the situation after the assailants had left the area.
He claimed that his driver and security personnel informed him that some locals had shot at his vehicle.
“I was told they shot at us. I heard gunshots. I did not know it was first at us. I just came out of a club in VI and the next thing I heard was the sound of a gunshot,” he said.
“They were local men but it was still gunshot. They are so afraid of what I would say. I have not said anything they are already fidgeting. They are already selling killers after me. It is crazy.
“Are these not police officers? They heard it too. There must be truth in what I am saying. With the way he is reacting.”
In his caption, Speed Darlington expressed disbelief and accused an unnamed individual, whom he referred to as “long face,” of orchestrating the attack.
“Long face sent killers my way, and I haven’t even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?” he wrote.
