Why are local goods so pricey- Daniel Regha questions

Controversial individual on Twitter Daniel Regha has lost patience with the steady rise in goods manufactured in Nigeria.

He contended that although it was reasonable for the exchange rate to affect the cost of imported items, he did not understand why the cost of things created in Nigeria was likewise rising.

Using local rice and Dangote cement as an example, he questioned why they were growing so quickly.

Regha said: “The price of imported goods going up is understandable due to the exchange rate, but why are the prices of Nigerian-made products like Dangote cement & local rice for example, rapidly increasing?..”
