“Why Bobrisky wasn’t put in general cell” – Deputy controller of Kirikiri Prison reveals

The deputy controller of Kirikiri Prison Michael Anugwa recently provided an explanation for the decision to keep Nigerian crossdresser and internet celebrity Bobrisky apart from the rest of the prison population.

He said that in order to keep the well-known feminine-looking Bobrisky safe from harm, he was put in a special holding room. The Deputy Controller voiced worries that Bobrisky might have been raped or killed if he had been housed in the main cell with other male prisoners, many of whom are seasoned offenders.

The officer emphasised that many dangerous prisoners, including those serving sentences for violent offences, sexual assault, and sodomy, are housed at the facility. Bobrisky’s safety had to be the first priority for the jail officials due to these circumstances.

Bobrisky’s feminine looks may have made him more vulnerable in a prison setting where many of the other offenders were notorious for their sexual violence, according to the Deputy Controller.

Michael Anugwa went on to say that Nigerians would have continued to blame them for putting the transvestite in danger if such a precaution hadn’t been taken to protect Bobrisky.

They took place in the House of Representatives today, Monday, September 30, 2024. The NCoS officials, Bobrisky, EFCC, and Verydarkman had all been invited to the green chamber.

Remember that VDM filed accusations against the EFCC, claiming that Bobrisky bought the agency off with N15 million to have the money laundering charge against him dropped. Additionally, VDM claimed that the NCoS had given Bobrisky a special flat to remain in instead of having him serve his jail sentence.
