Celebrated disc jockey and budding singer, DJ Cuppy has declared that she isn’t ready to get married yet.
The ace DJ who is in Ghana to promote her latest song made this revelation on talk show, ‘the Starr Drive with KOD and Cookie Tee’
In her words: “I am not ready to marry and have kids now because it will slow down my career,” she answered when asked about marriage.
Cuppy also expressed her displeasure over being labelled a ‘female DJ, as opposed to just being called a DJ.
When asked about the known rivalry between Ghanaian and Nigerian music, she maintained that Nigerian music was inspired by Ghanaian music.
Recall that the disc jourkey who is the daughter of business mogul, Femi Otedola once wished he wasn’t her father.
“Yes I once wished I wasn’t the daughter of my father, but that was back in the days, I’m now very comfortable in my own skin. When I first entered the industry, I felt like a lot of artistes and industry people wouldn’t accept me because I’m Femi Otedola’s daughter. I felt they wouldn’t feel comfortable with me, thinking I have an unfair advantage to enter their space and dominate it all”, she said.
