Nigerian media star Nedu, whose real name is Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, has revealed that he has no regrets over bringing comedian Deeone on his previous show, The Honest Bunch Podcast.
Keep in mind that Nedu resigned as co-host of The Honest Bunch podcast a few days after reality TV personality Deeone said in a recent episode that social media critic VeryDarkMan was attracted to guys.
Nedu was accused by VeryDarkMan of being responsible for the accusations Deeone made against him, saying that he has been urging him to appear on the podcast since 2024 and purportedly offered to buy him a car in exchange.
In response to VDM’s rebuttals, Nedu declared his exit from the podcast.
Amidst the brouhaha, Nedu disclosed during a press briefing on Pulse NG that he has no regrets about inviting Deeone to the podcast, even though it cost him his job. According to him, he believes everyone is entitled to their opinion. In his words:
“I didn’t regret bringing DeeOne to the Honest Bunch Podcast. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.”
He also highlighted the positive impact the podcast has had on many people’s lives. He said that:
“The show has helped many people.”
At the same briefing, Nedu clarified that he wasn’t fired from the podcast, contrary to the speculations made by VeryDarkMan.
He explained that he decided to step back due to personal attacks. He said:
“Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from Honest Bunch Podcast. I decided to step away when the attacks became personal. So that the show can go on,”
