Nigerian actress cum filmmaker, Eniola Ajao has clarified why she kept her 21-year-old son Ayomide off social media.
In a recent interview with Seun Oloketuyi TV, Eniola Ajao—who gave birth to the boy at a young age—explained why, saying it was a choice she took prior to entering the film business.
According to the mother of one,
“It was something I decide (sic) a long time, a long time decision I took before thoughts of coming into the industry. He will be 22 in May and it wasn’t easy. When I had him, I felt no man would want to marry me with a kid, so with that mindset, I had to keep it. I kept a lot out of the public, so I just decided.”
Eniola Ajao went on to say that she was teased and viewed as a “small girl” by her coworkers, who assumed she didn’t have a child, which was one of the reasons she ultimately made the decision to tell the public about her son.
In May 2022, Eniola Ajao stunned her two million Instagram followers by celebrating the boy’s 20th birthday.
In 2004, Eniola made her stage debut. She received a role in the Yoruba movie Igba Aimo.
The actress is the last of her parents’ children, along with her twin sister.
