Why I love Kanye West – Tems

The Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems has shown her admiration for the American rapper Kanye West.

The host of “Shopping The Sneakers,” Craig Mitch, recently enquired as to whether she was a fan of West.

In response, Tems declared, “I adore Kanye West.” Sometimes I can relate to him.

The “Me & U” hitmaker also discussed her romance with American R&B artist Brent Faiyaz.

Having known Faiyaz since 2021, she called him “a very good friend.”

“He is a real one and he is always supportive. I have a couple of artistes I am close to and he is one of them,” she said.

Tems gained popularity in 2020, courtesy of her collaboration with Wizkid, the Afrobeats singer, on the song ‘Essence’.

In the same year, she released her debut extended play (EP) titled ‘For Broken Ears’. She delivered ‘Born In The Wild’, her debut album, on June 7.

Last year, the songstress won her first-ever Grammy award for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

Her song ‘Love Me Jeje’ recently made the summer playlist of Barack Obama, the former US president.

West, on the other hand, is considered one of the most successful rappers in the world. He has won 24 Grammy Awards.

In April, the 47-year-old entrepreneur announced plans to launch his pornography site.
