Veteran Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that her dedication to personal values stopped her from becoming a billionaire.

The renowned Nollywood star made the revelation during an appearance on The Afropolitan Show, where she spoke about some of the difficult choices she has made during her career.

“If I wanted to be a billionaire I would have been it easily because I have been in situations where no one would have known and I would have taken things and compromised my stands, but I would say no, and I would walk away.

Many times, and some of those people are even watching me today,” she said.

According to the actress, she encountered numerous opportunities that could have brought significant financial gains but required her to compromise her principles.

However, she explained that she chose to step away from such offers, emphasising that remaining faithful to her values was more important than the financial benefits attached to them.

In an earlier interview, Omotola also disclosed that she once received a car as a gift while she was married, noting that her husband had no objection to it.

She added that men also receive gifts and support from admirers, although women tend to experience such gestures more frequently.

Despite turning down several lucrative opportunities, the actress said staying true to herself has brought fulfilment and rewards that cannot be measured by money.
