Afrobeats star Asake has opened up about why he is still unmarried, saying his reserved nature has played a role despite his growing success in the music industry.
In an interview with Korty EO, the singer explained that he is an introvert who finds it difficult to socialise, and that this has had an impact on his relationships.
Asake said he often thinks about starting a family, but believes his life is directed by God and that marriage will happen at the appropriate time.
He stressed the need for patience when it comes to love and marriage, expressing confidence that everything will happen when the time is right.
He said, “I plan to build a family by the special grace of God. I think about it every day because I am an introverted type of person who does not go out much. I will meet my wife when God says it is time. God has already written how our lives will go.
“It is good not to rush things because we do not fully understand His ways. As we are, no one knows tomorrow”.
Asake also said his current priority is his music career, adding that his mother remains the closest woman in his life.
“For now, my mom is my babe. But when God finally says it is time for me to get married, I will. For now, I am still on the streets”, he added.
