Famous Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo attributes the escalating insecurity in Nigeria to severe economic hardships.
The actress claimed that the vices that lead to insecurity, illogical behavior, and bad mental health in society are adversity, acute depression, insomnia, and drug use.
Iyabo decided to stop reading her direct messages (DMs) in order to preserve her sanity, as she stated in a post on her Instagram page on Friday. Her DMs are a testament to these truths.
But she prayed to God to give the administration the discernment to act quickly and wisely before it’s too late.
“Hardship, causing acute depression, insomnia, an increase in drug intake, which is amounting to the huge volume of insecurity, irrational behaviour, and mental health in our society
“My DM is a testimonial to these facts. Henceforth, I have to stop reading my DM’s to protect my sanity. May God grant our government the wisdom to do right by their people before it is too late”.
