TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has alleged that he was sexually abused by a football coach during his teenage years, saying the harrowing experience shattered what he believed could have been a thriving football career.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, released on YouTube on Monday, Peller said the alleged incidents took place when he was between 14 and 15 years old, and ultimately drove him to walk away from his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
“I’m supposed to be at the World Cup currently,” he said.
Peller explained that the team would typically gather at an uncompleted building before heading to the pitch for training. He said players who turned up late were often fined, but as he frequently could not afford to pay, he became a regular target for the coach.
“He would ask the other players to go to the field and tell me to stay behind because I came late. Then he would call me closer and start pressing my breasts,” Peller alleged.
He also described a separate incident in Agric, Ikorodu, where the coach allegedly lured him to his home under the guise of helping him collect an item. Upon arrival and after handing over the item, Peller claimed the coach undressed and instructed him to get onto the bed.
“I told him, ‘Come to the bed? I only came to bring what you asked for,'” he recalled.
Peller said the coach then tried to win him over by dangling the promise of more playing time.
“He told me not to worry and that he would allow me to play full matches,” he said.
The TikTok star recounted how he stepped outside after spotting some children playing football nearby and briefly joined them — a move that reportedly infuriated the coach, who called him back inside and locked the door.
Sensing he was in danger, Peller said he told the coach he needed to use the toilet. He claimed that the moment the door was unlocked, he bolted and never went back.
He said the ordeal pushed him away from football entirely and set him on the path to content creation.
“That was when I became wise and started doing my tap, tap, tap,” he said, referring to his move into livestreaming.
Peller also looked back on the early days of his online career, recalling that he initially drew only two or three viewers before linking up with fellow content creator Jarvis, whose collaborations helped propel him to wider fame.
