Former Big Brother Naija housemate Pere Egbi has cautioned young single women in Nigeria against living alone, pointing to safety risks as a major concern.
In a post shared on X, Egbi advised women to live with friends or relatives, noting that having company can improve both security and emotional support.
He wrote: “Personal advice to young women living in Nigeria who are single, don’t live alone by yourself. Have someone stay with you always. A friend, family member/s. It’s never a cool thing to live alone as a woman.”
Egbi’s comments come in the wake of the recent death of singer Ifunanya Nwangene, who reportedly died after sustaining a snake bite in her home in Abuja.
When questioned about whether his message was influenced by Nwangene’s incident, Egbi responded with “everything”, stressing that living alone is unsafe and not advisable for anyone, irrespective of gender.
