Popular comedian and actor turned preacher Oluwatoyin Bayegun known as Woli Arole has voiced reservations about some of the present practices in Nigeria’s gospel music industry.
He lamented that the gospel music scene has become dominated by “hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism.”
The 35-year-old actor pointed out that rather than following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, invitations for ministry are now given out solely on connections.
The ferocious preacher claimed that it is now hard to tell the difference between a secular musician and a gospel music pastor. He recently shared on Instagram:
“The level of hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism in the gospel music industry in Nigeria is alarming. Oh yes! Invitations are based on who you know, not as the Spirit leads. Music ministers too—we can’t differentiate whether you’re a performer or a minister. It’s well!”
In a diferent story, Woli Arole recently posted a message about the value of appreciation and thankfulness.
When they succeed, some people forget those who supported them along the way, he wrote on his Instagram page.
According to Woli Arole, God frequently employs other individuals to assist us on our journey and no one ever succeeds alone.
He exhorted his followers to cherish and remember the people who have positively influenced their life.
“A lot of people suddenly get Amnesia when they become successful. It’s Wrong. Don’t forget those that God used for you before you became successful, no MAN is made alone. God has used people for you.
Appreciate them, and be loud about them. Don’t be an ingrate.Thank you, Jesus, for those you’ve used to HELP and RAISE. I appreciate those who have been part of my journey, too. To all my fans and friends modupe gan!!!!!!”.
