Nollywood actress-turned-director Wumi Toriola has criticised Tolani Tayo-Osikoya, also known as Chef T or Diary of a Kitchen Lover, a popular food blogger and YouTuber.
In a post on her Instagram stories, Wumi Toriola claimed that Chef T had ignored her direct message.
The actress included a screenshot of the communication she wrote to the Chef, proposing a collaboration for her 2024 film debut, to support her claims.
The actress said that she loved Chef T’s work and that she would like to appear on one of her cooking shows. She wrote:
“Good morning sis. I have been a lover of your page for a while. I don’t know if any of your cooking episodes is coming soon. Would love to feature as my cinema debut is coming in September—me wearing a t-shirt of it while cooking on one of your episodes. I don’t know if and how it works with you.”
Chef T reportedly didn’t respond to the request, moving Wumi Toriola to accuse her of feeling too big to collaborate, implying that the food blogger now distances herself from others after achieving success. She wrote:
“Chef T @diaryofakitchenlover feels she doesn’t need anyone again. Na only she grow her grow. Shey na December me sef come out????”

When Chef T’s fan page reshared an old motivation post from the former, Wumi Toriola hit back;
“Fake page mama don drop motivation
E ku ataro aunty.
E jere ise owo yin.”
Chef T is yet to respond to the accusations as of the time of this report.
