Actress Dayo Amusa has criticized Femi Adebayo for suggesting that his achievements pose a challenge for her. Femi has faced backlash on social media after declaring Bobrisky as the best-dressed female at a recent event in Lagos. Dayo also uploaded a video online in which she reprimanded him for his statement.
On Tuesday night, Dayo engaged in an online altercation with Femi’s wife, Aladuke, who criticized Dayo for publicly calling out her husband instead of addressing her disappointment privately. Aladuke went as far as labeling Dayo a “Hypocrite and evil minded.”
Dayo responded by affirming her stance and cautioned Aladuke against escalating the situation. The situation escalated when Femi commented on Dayo’s post, implying that her issue with him stems from his success.
In response, Dayo posted a video on Instagram addressing Femi, referring to him as an “Ode” (Fool in Yoruba) for entertaining such thoughts. She expressed astonishment that he would even consider such a notion merely due to their disagreement. Dayo mentioned that Femi had earlier asked her to record another video as damage control, claiming that the Muslim Society had criticized him for supporting LGBTQ in Nigeria, and that the police had invited him for questioning on the matter.
Dayo recounted having a three-way call with Femi and the event organizer, during which the organizer suggested waiting for a response from her team to determine the necessity of Dayo’s damage-control video. However, before receiving a response, Femi’s wife publicly criticized Dayo on social media, hurling insults at her.
Dayo asserted that she stands by her statement that Bobrisky should not have been recognized as the best-dressed female at the event and expressed no remorse for her opinion.
