Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has spoken out following the passing of her mother.
In an Instagram post she made on Monday, the actress expressed gratitude for the public’s prayers, emphasizing their significance during this challenging period. She also appealed to them to continue keeping her family in their thoughts.
She said, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my mother on March 1st, 2024,” the actress wrote. “Your prayers mean the world to me during this difficult time. Please keep my family in your thoughts. Rest in peace, Mummy. Love.”
This follows the actress’s loss of her mother on Saturday, March 1. The unfortunate news was announced by Emeka Rollas, the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, who also revealed the passing of Nollywood legend Mr. Ibu on the same day. Colleagues in the industry and fans have expressed their condolences in the comments.
