A 17-year-old Master Nicholas Ogunji has emerged the third One-Day governor of Abia State, The Nation reports.
Master Ogunji, a student of Adventist Technical Secondary School, Ohafia, Ohafia local government area of the state, will be visiting the Afaraukwu Correctional Centre located off Aba road, Umuahia to visit the officials and inmates of the facility as part of his official duties.
It was gathered that the One-Day Governor of Abia State would during the visit to the Afara Correctional Center help to free some inmates after paying off their fines.
The One-Day-Governor is a policy of the Government of Ikpeazu to promote academic excellence, introduce youths of the state to leadership early, prepare them for the challenges & prospects of democratic governance, and to also serve as inspiration to others.
