Rev. Adebayo Adeniran, the District Superintendent (DS) West and Central Africa of the  Apostolic Faith Church, has urged Nigerians to pray to  God  so that he would turn the nation’s situation right  and for the better.

Adeniran said this on Saturday at the 2019 Camp Meeting Concert of the Church with the theme: “Sing His Praise and Power” held at the  Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, Faith City, Igbesa in Ogun.

He said the problems and fears pervading Nigeria was as a result of sin and unrighteousness of her citizens.

“The result of sin and unrighteousness is fear; if Nigerians continue to turn away from God, fear will pursue them.

“God will answer the citizens when they reach out to him in sincerity.”

He prayed that God would change those unrighteous minds  harassing people all about in the country to become righteous citizens.

The cleric said that  there  was hope for anyone that turned  to God, adding that even terrorists stand the chance of being  saved if they should repent from their sinful ways.

“I believe a terrorist can be changed and the only power that can change him or her  is the power of God.

“The government cannot tame terrorists; they can imprison them but they cannot turn their hearts, but God can do that, there is a solution in Christ,’’ he said.

He said that while seeking solutions to the teeming problems, leaders and citizens alike should pray for wisdom, divine visitation and help from God.

“We are not talking just about the problems now, we are talking about viable solutions; solution is possible, we should not relent in praying for the country because God will visit us.

“I have high hope that this country can be changed and I have hope that if we pray God will bring wisdom, he will help our leaders,”  he said.

The DS who spoke on the impact of songs rendered by the choir and orchestra said the church through their ministration in songs had impacted lots of lives.

“We have a God that is faithful, who has been constant all the years; we use the orchestra to minister to Africa not just in songs but through  songs that impact life into others.

“Through the ministrations of songs,  many have been healed, and delivered from different problems of life and many have given their lives to him,” he said.

Also  the  Oloye of Oye Ekiti , Oba Oluwole Ademolaju,  while commending the Apostolic Faith choir, said the church was one that trained  their members in the gospel of Jesus Christ from the  cradle.

“The Apostolic Faith Church is a church that will train you from your mother’s womb up to a stage where you actually understand the language of the scriptures,” he said.

Ademolaju  who expressed  fears on the state of insecurity in the country  said fears had stopped some of the dignitaries from attending the concert.

“I have been coming to this church for the past 20 years. It was only during the bomb blast in Ikeja, Lagos that the country was unsafe as it is today.

“You can see the numbers of  traditional rulers  here today; those  who used to be here are not here because they feel they are not safe.

“Kings are being kidnapped from their palaces. It is only the  almighty God that can save us. We, the Obas that came here; came with escorts,’’ he said.

The  traditional ruler who lamented  the destruction of farms in the Southwest part of the country  said that people might  experience food scarcity  next year due to the destruction of  farmlands.

“The situation is so bad that we are not sure of what we will eat tomorrow. In the southwest,  there is a big problem now  as our farms are being ravaged ,’’ he said.

He urged Nigerians to join the  traditional leaders in praying for peace in the country so that the challenges  they were facing would  be a thing of the past.
