Nigerians, especially Lagosians, are here for good times this season and better days ahead with the relaunch of “It’s New To Me Charity Shop” and unveiling of two more centres in Ikorodu, Akoka by His Love Foundation, the charity arm of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The relaunch and unveiling event took place at IT’S NEW TO ME headquarters, House 3, Prince Alaba  Oniru Estate, Victoria Island, Opposite Four Point By Sheraton Hotel recently.

The coordinator, Mrs Olubukola Aneke, in her welcome address, said: “We are so excited to have you all here to participate in the re-launch of It’s New To Me Charity Shop, especially our donors, who have been donating to the charity cause relentlessly over the past 10 years. It’s a charity shop whose vision is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by changing life.

“We hope that today’s event will create more awareness of the impact of It’s New To Me Charity Shop to the community and  inspires us to do more in demonstrating the love of God to others”.

The charity shop sells new and fairly used clothes, house-hold items in over three shops located across Lagos State-Victoria Island, Akoka-Yaba and Ikorodu to impact the lives of people regardless of the religion or ethnicity which is achieved by retailing donated items given by friends, families and church members to generate funds for charity work at subsidised rates.

One of such beneficiaries, Mrs. Chinwe, said: “It’s New To Me Charity Shop has been helpful to me and my family because most of what we got from there are very cheap and it has been a blessing to me and many people.”
