The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cancelled the inauguration of its National Traffic Radio 107.1 FM due to the ‘coronavirus pandemic’.

The event which was slated to hold at the FRSC headquarters, Abuja is an effort to educate the public on safe road usage and eradicating road traffic crashes.

According to the FRSC Corps Marshal, the initiative is geared towards creating safe motoring environment in Nigeria.

“This is in line with its establishment mandate. The veritable platform is intended to inculcate safety consciousness among the Nigerian populace.

“To also serve as a feedback mechanism that will assist the Corps enunciating proactive and result-oriented strategies in addressing the ever-evolving traffic challenges in the country.”

The programme was to host Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a special guest of honour among other dignitaries who have demonstrated uncommon passion and commitment in the propagation of road safety ideals in the country.
