Gani Adams’ father dies at 80

Pa Lamidi Adams, father of Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba Land, Otunba Gani Adams, is dead.

Adams, who passed away at a private hospital in Lagos in the early hours of Saturday, was 80.

Gani, in a statement, said his father was survived by many children.

Meanwhile, the Aare Onakakanfo has warned politicians against using venues of cultural events as battlefields.

A statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Aderemi, read, “The warning came on the heels of the recent crisis that occurred at the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, during the grand finale of the Oranyan festival, where two persons were killed.”
