Herdsmen kill four in Benue fresh attack

Suspected herdsmen on Wednesday killed four persons and injured three others at Tse-Haaga in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, The Nation report.

A resident of the area, Clement Haaga, told our correspondent that the assailants came on motorcycles, shooting rapidly.

Police spokesperson Kate Sewuese Anene confirmed the killings, saying that the command was investigating them.

Anene, a DSP, appealed to residents of the affected area to remain calm.

Suspected herdsmen attacked and killed one person in Kurudu, Iwedyer, Tomboy ward, Logo Local Government Area of the state on Monday night.

On Tuesday night they launched another attack on Agasha in Guma council, killing two persons and injuring a third.
