Kogi poll: APM adopts Dantalle as governorship candidate
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has elected Yusuf Dantalle as the candidate to fly the party’s flag in the November 16 governorship election.
The Chairman of the electoral panel, who is also the National Secretary, Mr Ayodele Oyadeyi, while announcing the result of the party’s primary that held on Thursday in Lokoja, said all the 120 delegates from the 21 LGAs had backed Dantalle.
Earlier, the chairman had said described the APM as a citizen-focused political party that provided a platform for equal participation in governance, socio-economic development, political representation, access to opportunities and privileges as Nigerian citizens.
In his acceptance speech, Dantalle said the APM under his leadership would provide accountable leadership through constant engagement with citizens and stakeholders in delivering services and promoting policies that would encourage sustainable livelihood through collaboration and support by multilateral organisations.
