The governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje has cried out over the incessant removal of his campaign posters along the third mainland bridge.

Agbaje who spoke in a statement signed and released on Thursday by the spokesperson of his campaign team, Modupe Ogunbayo accused a particular Slice solutions of pulling down the campaign materials without a court backing or order from a recognised authority.

Read full statement below:

REMOVAL OF THE POSTERS OF JIMI AGBAJE/YEMISI BUSARI, GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE AND DEPUTY GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE ON THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE: OUR POSITION.

The sole issue here is that Slice solutions is laying claim to the right of advertisement on the third mainland bridge without providing evidence of the existence of the said right, this is inspite of our request to that effect. They have by their Solicitors correspondence with us threatened to pull down all our banners and boards without any order of court, there by resorting to self help.

This we view critically to be undemocratic and further reinforces our suspicion that they’re being propelled by an unseen hand, who are not comfortable with the rising profile of our Gubernatorial candidate, his campaign and the challenge that he pose to the continued looting of our common patrimony by few individuals.

The above is also predicated on the fact that the supposed “right” was alleged to have been given by Mr. Fashola, who it appears is using his exalted office to stultify our campaign, without regard to due process.

We remain committed to our ideals of “Freedom” as encapsulated in our campaign and shall pursue same vigorously in the forthcoming elections.

We enjoin our supporters to remain calm and be Law abiding in the face of this provocation, as we seek redress with appropriate quarters.
