Nigeria records 220 new cases of Coronavirus, total figures now 2,388

Nigeria has recorded 220 new cases of Coronavirus, taking its total figures to 2,388.

According to the figures released by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Saturday, Lagos came back to the top, with 62 new cases of the pandemic, while the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja ramps up 52 new infections.

Also, Kaduna State recorded high new infections, with 31 new cases; Sokoto, 13; Kebbi, 10; Yobe, nine; Borno, six; Edo and Bauchi, five cases each; while Gombe, Enugu and Oyo have four new cases each.

Others are: Zamfara, two; Nasarawa, two; Osun, two; Ebonyi, two; Kwara, two, Kano, two and Plateau, two.

“A total of 220 new cases of #COVID19 were recorded on Saturday. There are now 2,388 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. Discharged: 385; Deaths: 85,” NCDC said on its website.

However, Kano, which recorded the highest figures of 90 coronavirus infections on Friday, only has two new cases.
