Osogbo PDP Rally: Secondus, Atiku, others promise to rescue Nigeria from APC
The National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus on Saturday declared that his party was ready to rescue the nation from the All Progressive Congress.
Secondus said this in Osogbo, Osun State on Saturday during the South-West rally of PDP held at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, attended by a huge crowd of the faithful.
According to him, the administration of President Muhamadu Buhari has subjected Nigerians to suffering and hardship and that PDP was on a rescue mission to safe the nation.
The former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose and former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, former governor of Oyo state, Senator Rasheed Ladoja and other to Osogbo for the rally.
Also speaking, one of the governorship aspirants of PDP in the state, Oluomo Gbenga Owolabi said PDP would take over the state from the All Progressive Congress (APC) by wining the September 22nd governorship election in the state.
Owolabi said the people of the state were tired of the Aregbesola’s administration and willing to vote for PDP in September.
According to him, this rally is just a tip of the iceberg. We will show the APC that PDP is the party to beat. You can see the crowd. “The people of Osun state are ready to vote for PDP and I’m very optimistic that I will be the next governor of Osun state.”
Owolabi commended PDP members for conducting themselves orderly and appealed to them to remain loyal to the party and mobilize the entire people of the state to vote for PDP.
