[VIDEO] Youths protest naira, fuel scarcity in Oyo, attack Governor’s office

With only 22 days until the general elections, thousands of young people took to the streets of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Friday to protest the country’s current state.

For weeks, Nigerians have been dealing with fuel, new naira note scarcity, and erratic power supply across the country.

Dissatisfied with the situation, the youths stormed the Iwo Road area of the state on Friday morning, armed with several placards, to register their grievances.

However, some protesters marched to the Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan, and attempted to force their way into the Governor’s office.

The protesters were said to have been repelled by security operatives attached to the governor’s office.

Not satisfied, the protesters were said to have thrown stones and other dangerous weapons into the governor’s office.
