Residents and fun seekers in and around Iyesi Ota, Ogun State on Sunday, May 8 were full of joy when Golden Pillars Hotel and Suite was officially commissioned for full operations.
The commissioning ceremony which held at the hotel premises situated at 1, Community Avenue, Victory Estate, Rosco Bus – Stop, Iyana-Iyesi, Ota, Ogun State had in attendance the crème de la crème in the society.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the hotel, Engr Sulaimon Olayiwola said the need to bridge the wide hospitality gap in the community led to the founding of the hotel. He said most hospitality business in the area where either folding up or not meeting the basic needs of customers.
“This has been a work in the pipeline for years now. We just don’t want to open another hotel like others existing before Golden Pillars. We wanted something classy and quality assured. We conducted our feasibility study well and also heard feedbacks directly from residents and fun seekers who were sure of what they wanted in their ideal hotel. We put all of that into work to form what you have today as Golden Pillars Hotel and Suite,” Olayiwola said.
On what customers should expect while patronizing the hotel, the CEO said: “This is an 18-room hotel with event centre, bar and conference room. We are here to fill the void missing for years. Customers should expect nothing less of a professional world-class standard and service delivery at all times they come calling. Our staffs are well trained and our facilities are not common. You can’t get the super excellent service delivery you will get in Golden Pillars elsewhere. And we won’t rest on our oars to continue to upgrade and improve on our services,” he said.
A joyous resident and fun seeker who attended the commissioning said Golden Pillars is their answer for a classy yet affordable hospitality centre in the area. “I can’t hide my joy that this hotel is finally opening today. We have waited this long for this quality because our night life is gradually being crippled owing to the poor services of the other hotels around. I’ve been taken round the hotel and I can tell it is classic and their charges are also moderate’, the resident who identified himself as Akin submitted.
