Nigeria is home to many talented young individuals who have achieved remarkable feats recognized by the Guinness World Records.

Here are ten young Nigerians who have made their mark:

 

Hilda Baci:

In May 2023, Hilda Baci, a chef from Akwa Ibom State, set the record for the longest cooking marathon, lasting 93 hours and 11 minutes.

 

Tunde Onakoya:

A chess player and coach, Tunde Onakoya broke the record for the longest marathon chess game in April 2024, playing for over 60 consecutive hours in New York City.

 

Chukwuebuka Ezugha:

A freestyle footballer, Chukwuebuka has been involved in 18 Guinness World Records. In November 2023, he set the record for the most contortion arm passes in 30 seconds while balancing a football on his head.

 

Adetunwase Adenle:

An art educator, Adetunwase once held multiple records, including organizing the most children reading aloud with an adult at a single location and creating the world’s largest special stamp.

 

Fola David:

A medical doctor and visual artist, Fola David set the record for the largest drawing by an individual in November 2024, creating a 1,004.7 m² artwork titled “The Unity of Diversity.”

 

Chinonso Eche:

At just 10 years old, Chinonso became the youngest Nigerian Guinness World Record holder in August 2020 for the most consecutive football touches in one minute while balancing another football on his head.

 

Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke:

A 14-year-old art prodigy, Kanyeyachukwu attempted to set a new record in August 2024 for the largest artwork on canvas, measuring 10,000 square feet.

 

Gbenga Ezekiel:

In October 2022, 16-year-old Gbenga set the record for the most skips in one minute on one leg, achieving 265 skips.

 

Philip Solomon:

A 17-year-old student from Ondo State, Philip set the record for the most skips on one foot in 30 seconds, achieving 153 skips in January 2023.
