17 Soldiers killed in Delta to be buried tomorrow in Abuja

The bodies of the 17 officers and soldiers slain in the Okuama village on March 14, while on a peacekeeping operation, will be put to rest in Abuja tomorrow.

The burial service, scheduled at 3 p.m., will take place at the National Cemetery Abuja.

According to a news release issued by the Nigerian army, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria, would be the event’s Special Guest of Honour.

Recall that furious adolescents killed the commanding officer, a Lieutenant Colonel, two Majors, and one Captain in the Okuama neighbourhood.

The killers were allegedly said to have pulled their bodies apart and extracted their hearts.
