Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, has named former Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki and Anyim Pius, as well as former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, as special advisers to his campaign council.
Saraki will serve as the presidential candidate’s special envoy, and Anyim will serve as a special adviser.
Shekarau, like former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Senator Ehigie Uzamere, will serve as special advisers, according to a statement signed by Atiku’s media adviser, Mr Paul Ibe, on Monday.
It further stated that former PDP national chairman, Uche Secondus, was also appointed as technical adviser to the presidential candidate.
The former vice-president charged the appointees to employ their vast experiences to attain victory for the party in the 2023 general elections, saying the appointments are to take immediate effect.
