2023 Elections: INEC releases voting procedure

The voting process for the upcoming elections in February and March of 2023 has been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

On Sunday, a message on the Commission’s verified Twitter account included the disclosure.

According to the Commission, fingerprint or facial recognition would be used for authentication with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.

Voting begins at 8:30am, according to INEC, when voters show their Permanent Voter Cards, or PVCs, for BVAS accreditation.

Voters would be permitted to leave or remain 300 meters away to observe the sorting and counting of ballots, according to the statement’s additional details.
