National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2023 presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will address the party’s caucus in the House of Representatives on March 16, 2022.
In a letter he personally signed and addressed to the Speaker of the House, which was read partly at plenary yesterday, the former Lagos State governor sought audience with the members to address them on his programmes for the country.
He said after due consultation with his family, associates and the traditional institution, he decided to contest the Presidency of the country.
Details of the meeting were not immediately available.
But Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila said House Leader Alhassan Ado Doguwa would later provide details of the meeting.
Also, one of the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Mao Ohuanbuwa, was billed to meet with members of the party’s Caucus in the House around 8 p.m yesterday.
A notice of the meeting, signed by the Minority Leader Ndudi Elumelu and read by the Speaker, showed that the aspirant is coming to sell his programme to the lawmakers ahead of APC’s convention to pick a candidate to fly the party’s flag.
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has held a similar meeting with the PDP Caucus.
