The pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Nuhu Ribadu has said that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, is the most sellabe candidate among those running for office in the 2023 elections.

This was said by Ribadu, who also serves as the Presidential Campaign Council’s Director of stakeholder relations, during the 132-member directorate’s formal inauguration.

He said this as a warning to the party ahead of the elections in 2023 not to underestimate the candidates of other political parties.

Ribadu expressed confidence that the former governor of Lagos State would easily win the election on February 25.

Former Governor of Osun State and founding National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande, presided over the inauguration ceremony, which took place at the PCC campaign office in Abuja.

The former head of an anti-corruption organization predicted that Tinubu will win the Presidential election, but he also issued a warning that no candidate should be taken for granted.

“Luckily for us, our job is cut out for us. We have the most sellable product in the market today. There is no one candidate out there that is better than our own.

“Asiwaju Tinubu is an accomplished human being and a thorough bred administrator and maverick politician. He has something to show from his glowing antecedent, he will not learn on the job.

“He also has a wide network of friends and associates everywhere in Nigeria, which makes our job of outreach very much easier. Though this election is literally a walk over for us, we should not leave anything to chances.”

Ribadu noted that the 132 members of the directorate came from a variety of human endeavors and urged them to work cooperatively as one family in a friendly environment.

Before the 2023 Presidential election, Ribadu stated that he had no doubt that the directorate would deliver the goods.

“To ease operation, we have decided to divide the operations of the directorate into North and South. This is done to ensure that our work is targeted and thorough.

“We are also adopting a bottom-up and up-bottom approaches simultaneously through the creation of thematic area units and leadership at zonal and state levels.

“The work will be guided with clear terms of reference to guide our operations and assigned tasks. Immediately after this formal event, we will discuss in detail and provide you with the necessary guidance to hit the ground running.”

Akande revealed that he was pleased with the new directorate’s makeup midway through the program.

He also thought they would resume from where they left off on May 29, 2015, with the victory of the ruling party.

Even though some Nigerians dislike the party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket, he expressed confidence that Tinubu has what it takes to lead the nation.
