The Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle, Tricycle Repairers and Riders Association of Nigeria has welcomed the All Progressives Congress’ decision to retain Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
The association’s National President, Prince Samsudeen Apelogun, described the choice as a reward for Shettima’s service, loyalty and contributions to the current administration in a statement issued on Sunday.
Apelogun said he believes the continued partnership between Tinubu and Shettima will provide stability and help sustain efforts to improve the economy, tackle insecurity, unite the country and expand infrastructure.
“The nomination is a well-deserved recognition of Senator Kashim Shettima’s loyalty, competence, dedication and unwavering commitment to the progress and stability of Nigeria,” Apelogun said.
He noted that ACOMORAN would continue to support government policies that encourage national development and improve the livelihoods of commercial motorcycle riders, tricycle operators and repairers across the country.
“We remain committed to supporting initiatives that advance good governance, sustainable development and improve the socio-economic well-being of commercial motorcycle and tricycle operators nationwide,” he said.
The ACOMORAN president also offered prayers for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, asking for divine guidance, wisdom and good health as they prepare for the 2027 elections.
He expressed hope that the APC ticket would enjoy widespread public support and emerge from a peaceful and credible electoral process.
