The Imole Campaign Council has pledged to mobilise 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, following the inclusion of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in the revised All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
The council said the existing political structure of the Accord Party in Osun State would be deployed to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing confidence in Adeleke’s ability to secure substantial electoral support for the President.
The pledge was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the council’s Director-General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, who welcomed Adeleke’s appointment as the State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.
Oyewumi described the appointment as well deserved and assured Tinubu that the confidence placed in the governor would translate into electoral support in the state.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the Presidential election will not be misplaced,” he said.
He added, “We promise the President, just like Governor Adeleke said sometimes ago, that we will deliver 1.5million votes to ensure his victory in the coming Presidential election.”
Other prominent figures listed in the revised presidential campaign council include the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; and Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo.
The Imole Campaign Council also urged residents of Osun State to continue supporting Adeleke, encouraging them to trust his administration to fulfil its campaign promises.
It further argued that supporting Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election would amount to supporting the Osun governor.
Adeleke, who contested the last Osun governorship election on the platform of the Accord Party, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s State Returning Officer, Professor Joshua Ogunwole.
He secured 511,067 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
The council’s pledge comes as political parties and campaign groups begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general election. However, the proposed 1.5 million votes remain a campaign target rather than a guaranteed electoral outcome.
