The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate has launched a centralised online platform to register and coordinate volunteer groups across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Reports indicate that more than 10,000 support groups, both within and outside the ruling party, are supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The portal was unveiled on Sunday during a press conference in Abuja by the Director of the Mobilisation Directorate, Hon. Silas Agara. It is intended to create a unified and accountable database for all support groups involved in the campaign.
Agara, a former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, announced that the registration portal, www.pccsupportgroups.com, became operational on October 17 and will remain open for five days, closing on October 22, 2026.
He urged grassroots organisations, professional associations and volunteer groups supporting Tinubu’s second-term ambition to complete their registration within the deadline, irrespective of their previous affiliations or registration status.
“Support groups are a vital link between the party, the campaign organisation and the Nigerian people,” Agara stated. “They bring together communities, professional associations, interest groups and volunteers, helping to communicate the administration’s policies, explain its achievements and engage citizens on issues that matter to them.”
Explaining the reason for the short registration period, Agara said the exercise would help the directorate verify existing groups, assess their geographical coverage and determine their actual operational capacity before nationwide campaign activities intensify.
“This registration exercise will enable us to verify participating groups, understand their geographical spread and organisational capacity, and establish a reliable database for effective coordination and nationwide engagement,” he emphasised.
He further encouraged all eligible groups to participate, stressing the need to establish a coordinated mobilisation structure ahead of the elections.
“I urge every group to take this exercise seriously. Our objective is to build a unified mobilisation structure that is organised, accountable, responsive and prepared for the demands of the campaign ahead.”
The directorate’s head also identified the policy achievements recorded under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda over the past three years as the central message of the campaign.
“We believe the progress being made provides a basis for continued reform, stronger institutions and improved national prosperity. Our responsibility is to communicate the administration’s achievements accurately, explain its policies clearly and listen to Nigerians’ legitimate concerns,” Agara noted.
Addressing support group leaders and field operatives, he cautioned against complacency and called for respectful engagement with voters through constructive discussions.
“The task ahead is not merely to promote a political message. It is to engage citizens respectfully, provide credible information and demonstrate that the Renewed Hope Agenda can deliver meaningful improvements in their lives,” he urged. “Let us take the message to our communities, workplaces, markets and neighbourhoods.”
Agara also appealed to media organisations to publicise the registration portal to enable eligible political and social groups across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to register before the October 22 deadline.
